In 2023, we accompanied the Vaillant roadshow to more than 30 locations across Germany. While invited customers learned about the latest heating systems and attended training sessions, StreetQuizine handled the food truck catering. Depending on the location, we served between 50 and 200 guests freshly prepared burgers.

The 2023 Vaillant roadshow at a glance

  • Client: Vaillant
  • Period: 2023
  • Scope: More than 30 roadshow stops
  • Region: Germany-wide
  • Number of guests: Approximately 50 to 200 people per location
  • Event content: Presentation of current heating systems and customer training
  • Catering: Freshly prepared burgers from the food truck
  • Format: Recurring catering at changing event locations

Catering for product presentations and customer training

The Vaillant roadshow focused on new heating systems, professional exchange, and training for invited customers. The catering needed to integrate reliably into the daily schedule without interrupting the presentations and training content.

Our food truck was positioned directly at the event site for this purpose. This allowed participants to receive their freshly prepared burgers in the immediate vicinity of the training and presentation areas. The kitchen and serving area were housed in a single mobile unit, allowing for a consistent, recognizable setup across all different locations.

More than 30 stops with varying guest numbers

In 2023, the roadshow visited more than 30 locations in Germany, with guest numbers ranging from approximately 50 to 200 people per stop. These variations had to be taken into account during inventory planning, preparation, and service.

A smaller training session requires a different workflow than a roadshow stop with 200 guests. Therefore, the menu selection, preparation, and staffing were adapted to the specific number of participants and the allotted time frame. At the same time, the catering was designed to provide consistent quality and a reliable process at every location.

Fresh burgers straight from the food truck

We served freshly prepared burgers at the Vaillant roadshow. The food was prepared and served to guests directly from the food truck. The open serving window allowed for personal interaction between our team and the participants, making the preparation process a visible part of the event.

The project photos show both our chefs at work in the truck and the service to the guests. Vaillant branding was also visibly integrated into the setup. This allowed the food truck to blend into the roadshow appearance without overshadowing the professional nature of the customer training.

What matters for a nationwide roadshow

Catering for more than 30 events requires repeatable processes while maintaining enough flexibility for individual locations. Before each tour stop, the local conditions and timing must be clearly defined.

Key planning points include:

  • Venue, access, and suitable parking space
  • Start time and duration of the planned service
  • Expected number of participants per event
  • Menu selection and dietary requirements
  • Power supply and other technical requirements
  • Arrival, setup, breakdown, and supply logistics
  • Dedicated contact person for planning and execution

This preparation ensures that catering starts on time and integrates seamlessly into the schedule of presentations, training sessions, and meetings. It provides an effortless dining experience for participants, allowing the organizer to focus entirely on the roadshow content.

Food truck catering as part of a B2B roadshow

For a product roadshow, catering serves multiple functions. It provides refreshments for guests, creates a pleasant break between program items, and offers space for personal conversations. Especially during training sessions and professional events, the food truck becomes a natural meeting point for participants, speakers, and company representatives.

The concept is suitable for product training, dealer events, customer roadshows, partner days, mobile academies, and multi-day tours, among others. Food, service times, and setup can be tailored to the brand and varying event sizes.
