The short answer: StreetQuizine can provide full food truck catering for corporate events with 500, 1,000, or several thousand guests. We have seven of our own food trucks available, along with additional mobile food and beverage stations. For simultaneous meal service, we use a rule of thumb of approximately one food truck or service station per 250 guests. By using menu concepts specifically tailored to large-scale events, we can often achieve significantly higher service speeds.
The number of trucks actually required depends on more than just the guest count. Other decisive factors include the menu, the event venue, the desired variety, and whether all guests will be eating at the same time or spread out over several hours.
For regular catering with multiple menu options, a StreetQuizine food truck can serve up to 250 portions per hour, depending on the menu. With seven food trucks, we can serve a total of more than 1,500 guests per hour in parallel.
For very large corporate events, we often develop a high-speed service concept. In this case, each food truck offers only one main dish, such as burgers, bowls, BBQ, or pita. This allows the food to be prepped more extensively and served much faster.
Depending on the dish, such a single-item concept can sometimes accommodate more than 300 guests per hour per truck, or even more than 400 for particularly fast-to-serve items. However, we do not apply these peak values as a blanket rule for every event. Binding capacity planning is carried out individually based on the selected menu and the event schedule.
If all guests are expected to eat at roughly the same time, we use a safe rule of thumb of about one food truck or food station per 250 people. Our goal is to ensure that even with several thousand guests, every person is served at least once within approximately 30 to 45 minutes.
If, on the other hand, visitors arrive over the course of several hours, a smaller number of food trucks may suffice. A family day where guests arrive between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. requires a different concept than a company meeting where all employees want to eat immediately after a speech.
The number of food trucks should therefore never be determined solely by the total number of invited guests. We specifically take the following into account:
In addition to our seven food trucks, we can set up further mobile food stations. This allows us to increase total capacity without needing an additional truck for every extra dish.
The most important factor is realistic planning of the expected visitor flow. For events with a very large number of employees, we recommend not opening the food service immediately after a joint speech or a single program item if possible. If service begins beforehand, guests will automatically distribute themselves more evenly across the available stations.
If everyone needs to eat at the same time, we increase the number of food trucks and service points accordingly. For large-scale events, each truck is dedicated to serving just one type of dish. This allows guests to quickly identify which truck offers burgers, bowls, BBQ, pita, or other options.
Further measures to prevent queues include:
If we are also handling event management, we can additionally create a signage and site plan. This ensures visitors know exactly which dishes are available at each truck and station.
StreetQuizine regularly manages corporate events for hundreds or even thousands of guests. Three examples illustrate how varied the planning can be.
For a large trade fair hosted by BÄKO West eG, around 1,000 guests needed to eat within the same time window. To accommodate this, we deployed four food trucks serving dishes that could be prepared and handed out very quickly.
In addition, we set up a large beverage bar and distributed our blue self-service wheelbarrows filled with chilled soft drinks throughout the venue. Finger food and desserts were set up at easily accessible stations.
Although the majority of guests wanted to eat at the same time, the maximum wait time was approximately 15 minutes.
At a large summer festival for Marienhaus in Waldbreitbach, the approximately 3,000 visitors arrived throughout the course of the day. Four food trucks were used for the main courses: two burger trucks and two bowl trucks.
We also set up four separate crêpe stations. Thanks to the distribution of guests and the clear separation of food offerings, there were no significant queues. The actual service time at each individual station was generally around one minute.
StreetQuizine catered for approximately 6,500 guests at a family day hosted by the industrial company Speira in the Neuss-Grevenbroich region. Visitors arrived between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m., which helped spread the attendance throughout the day.
Seven food trucks with different culinary concepts were deployed. Despite the high total number of visitors, there were no significant queues. Guests typically received their food from the individual trucks within about a minute.
These examples illustrate why the total number of guests alone says little about the actual number of food trucks required. The timing of guest arrivals is at least as important.
Yes. StreetQuizine can cater to different employee groups at various times and, with appropriate planning, even over a 24-hour period. We have already implemented such shift concepts for large companies.
Multiple company locations or simultaneous events are also possible. For roadshows, a standardized food and equipment concept can be developed and then implemented at various locations.
With our locations in Korschenbroich and Augsburg, we can support corporate events in western and southern Germany, as well as nationwide for events of a sufficient size.
For each food truck, a level and safely accessible parking area of approximately seven by 3.5 meters should be provided. For access, we generally require a minimum width of 3.30 meters and a clearance height of 3.20 meters.
We typically require a standard 230-volt power connection per food truck. A sewage connection is not necessary. A water connection is also generally not required, though it can be helpful for large-scale events.
Before the event, we work with the company or the managing event agency to check access, parking areas, power supply, and the planned distribution of service points.
Yes. In addition to food truck catering, StreetQuizine can take over the complete planning and implementation of catering areas or, if desired, the entire event planning.
This includes, for example:
Many components are part of our own inventory. We organize additional special equipment or program items through our network of experienced partners. The company will have a dedicated contact person who coordinates all involved areas.
For soft drinks at large venues, we like to use our blue self-service wheelbarrows. These are filled with chilled soft drinks, ice, and beer upon request, and are regularly restocked throughout the event. Wine, long drinks, Aperol, Lillet, and other beverages are served from staffed bars.
For large events, we create an individual operational and contingency plan in advance. Depending on the size of the event, we keep alternative vehicles, additional food stations, or other options for relocating service on standby.
Our food concepts are designed so that, in the event of a last-minute change, capacity can be redistributed between multiple trucks or stations. In addition, there is a central project manager who coordinates all catering areas on the day of the event and can react immediately to any deviations.
The specific reserves provided depend on the number of guests, the location, and the scope of the event. This contingency plan is determined during the project planning phase.
For large events, we recommend submitting an inquiry at least six months before the desired date. This leaves sufficient time for site, personnel, menu, and logistics planning.
Short-notice implementation is still possible, provided that enough food trucks, staff, and equipment are available on the day of the event. Particularly popular dates during peak season can be booked up much earlier.
The price for food depends primarily on the number of guests, the chosen dish, and the desired variety. For large corporate events, a simple concept with one dish—for example, only burger trucks—starts at approximately 19 euros net per person.
If different food concepts and a larger selection are desired, the main courses range up to approximately 27 euros net per person, depending on the composition.
The following items may also be added:
Since a corporate event where everyone eats at the same time is very different from a family day spread over six hours, we create an individual capacity and cost plan for every large-scale event.
For an initial assessment, we need the event date, location, expected number of guests, the desired time frame, and a brief description of the planned event schedule.
Based on this, we will develop a suitable concept featuring food trucks, additional stations, drinks, and optional full-service features. You will typically receive an initial response or a custom quote within 24 hours on business days.
Planning a large-scale event with StreetQuizine
As of September 2, 2026. Capacities and service speeds are based on experience and planning estimates. The actual number of food trucks and stations required depends in particular on the menu, the event venue, the service time, and the distribution of guests over time.
